But wait. This doesn't look like that other one. That guy said there were no plans for any other designs. I know it's true. I read it on the internet.

They both look good--I'd be happy with either--even though neither looks like mine...
Would it save you a lot of time if I just gave up and went mad now?

I think they are the same. The 'simulated background' bit seems to me to be a clue. But I've been wrong before

Of course one gets a choice. Now you can have one that is just fine in every way at a reasonable price or spend 2-3 or more times as much for one that sounds pretty much the same but has a fancier design. Your choice.

OK, they're stickers, probably cost the same, but they're channeling the spirits of luthiers of yore ...

I must still be asleep,or typing by remote maybe !!. I looked at both images, trying to see what the 'difference' was, then it dawned on me that they're of an "A" style mandolin - Oh well,i'll be great when i wake up !!,

Top one every time. Looks good if you stick it on at an angle like The Gibson. prefer scroll as it is SO DIFFERENT .

    Differences I can see:

Obvious difference in the one from 04/2014 is F style then, A now.

The differences on the 2 on this thread from each other:

Top: has a gray outlined sound-hole, also a gray streak at the bottom of the L, background is white with gray line border.

Bottom: Lighter gray tail piece, Full Gray background, body not as dark.

    What do I win??

Wait, wait, wait...where's the A style with ff holes! I feel un represented in sticker choices!!! 😜

(Not sure if the emoticon thingy showing that I'm kidding shows up, but it is supposed to be there).

Or a paddle head, instead of snake head. That's OK - this is still a lot closer to what I've got.

I don't think Scott is about to create a different sticker for every body style possibility. This isn't what he's here for - he's got much bigger fish to fry, and every day is a Saturday night fish fry. This addition represents a 100% increase in available offerings, and comes out of the blue as an unexpected and most welcome surprise. And all you ingrates can do is quibble over minuscule details?!? Honestly!

I was planning to make my next mandolin an A-style with f-holes. Looks like I need to re-think my plan. Beautiful! Is there a release date?

I assume the A oval hole will be a better value since no wood or effort was wasted on the scroll. Won't really be suitable for Bluegrass though.

Are these available now? Or is this just the completed design ready to go into production?

This initial design was completed last evening by the very talented and lovely Mrs. Mandolin Cafe who ably assists on the site. I've given it the go-ahead. She thinks it's ready to go to the printer but wants to look over one more time. I think a month is probably a safe time frame by the time they receive the print-ready artwork and we go back and forth on communication, particulars, a print cycle and shipment here. It will be identical in size to the F sticker, designed to just fit into a business size envelope.

    Kudos to the lady!

I have one suggestion, admittedly minor. My first look at it made me think the line of the pickguard was a cord from a pickup. Looking at it again, I think that comes from it ending at the bridge, instead of just above it, and also not having the other edge of it defined. Maybe adjusting that would help, if it doesn't make the overall design too busy. But this might just be me, being a bit too picky. So to speak.
