I think this might have snuck under the radar a little, and I didn't want anybody to miss out. I got is as an early self-Christmas present, a fat stack of classic '80s/'90s newsprint full of tons of great mandolin nerd interviews and sheet music and discussions of technique. It's a great snapshot of mandolin culture just before the internet blew up.

This is a great deal for an amazing source of mandolin information, and people (particularly people new to mandolin) should get it before it's gone.

No financial interest on my part.

Got mine yesterday. The first issue I picked up had a Tim O'Brian interview, article about picks, one about street performing, one about selling vintage instruments, and lots more. And how often do you read a record review that contains the phrase "even drove my cat from the room"? The Digest remind me of what the Cafe would have been like in the 80's. Niles deserves a lot of credit for being one of the first to bring to the public an expanded view of what a mandolin is capable of doing. It will take a long time to go though all the issues. Best $28. I have spent in a long time.
