I didn't make a vid. But I did do a quickie sound byte. Although I'm not nearly as happy with my recording efforts as I am the literal result face to face with the live sound. But here you can get a little bit of an idea about at least it's clarity. But again, plugged in sitting in front of it is dead spot on.

Not forgetting my lack of talent and skill on a tenor guitar considering the fact this is my 1st tenor guitar. Couple that with a 3 a.m. insomnia attack, and this is about it for now. If that doesn't get me some slack, I have a whole encyclopedia full of other excuses I can use. roflol

Funny enough, Ozark have stopped making their hard case! Considering they seem to be so similar, I wonder if they are from the same factory ?
I will take some measurements tomorrow so we can compare.....

Does anyone want to compare their Kala with the Ozark?

All my Kala dimensions are different. It's slightly narrower in all the spots and it's 16" long.

I'm trying to decide how to setup my Blueridge BR-60T once I receive it. Would you mind running some tension calculations on the following?

    22.9" scale
    DGBE tuning
    String sizes: 0.013, 0.017, 0.026, and 0.034

I'm using the 0.012 set on my 25.5" acoustic guitar, and I'm thinking I should go up a size for the 22.9" tenor. Thanks for the help.

Using a string tension calculator on the internet, the numbers I got were:

    0.013 22.1 lbs.
    0.017 21.2 lbs.
    0.026 29.0 lbs.
    0.034 28.1 lbs.

The tension for the D and G string seems high. I'm thinking of using a mixture of strings to give me this.

    0.013 22.1 lbs.
    0.017 21.2 lbs.
    0.024 24.5 lbs.
    0.032 24.9 lbs.

It seems like the tension across the strings with this mix would be more consistent. Does this seem like a good mix? The D and G strings would be phosphor bronze and the B and E strings would be plain steel.

I spoke with someone at Saga Music (makers of Blueridge guitars) about using the strings above for DGBe tuning. They confirmed that the above strings would be fine and the BR-60T would be able to handle the tension.

So far I've been impressed with Saga's customer information/service. It's good when a mass-producer responds to single-customer inquiries.
    ...Steve

Current Stable: Two Tenor Guitars (Martin 515, Blueridge BR-40T), a Tenor Banjo (Deering GoodTime 17-Fret), a Mandolin (Burgess #7). two Banjo-Ukes and five Ukuleles..

The inventory is always in some flux, but that's part of the fun.

I emailed Saga Music twice (once before purchase and once after purchase), and both times I received a reply within 24 hours. I'm very impressed with their customer service. So far Saga Music seems like a very good company.
