    Default Cool Youtube Compilation

A buddy sent me this link, parsed by a Japanese fellow, some wonderful stuff here:

    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvT...JOskL0w/videos

    Of particular note:

On one of the Spectrum things, see Bela's name

    Musicians:
    ・Glenn Lawson (Guitar, Vocals)
    ・Jimmy Gaudreau (Mandolin, Vocals)
    ・Bela Freak (Banjo)
    ・Jimmy Mattingly (Fiddle)
    ・Mark Schatz (Bass)

    And

On the Manzanita band, believe this is our own illustrious Spruce-boy

Great American Music Hall, San Francisco, CA

    Song List:
01 - Little Cabin Home On The Hill
    02 - Old Train
    03 - Blackberry Blossom
    04 - Hold Whatcha Got
    05 - I'll Stay Around
    06 - You Don't Know My Mind
    07 - Manzanita
    08 - I Ain't Broke But I'm Badly Bent
    09 - Talk About Suffering
    10 - On and On
    11 - Wheel Hoss
12 - Little Girl in Tennessee
    13 - Pig in Pen
    14 - Molly and Tenbrooks

    Musicians:
    ・Tony Rice (Guitar, Vocals)
    ・Ricky Skaggs (Fiddle, Mandolin, Vocals)
    ・Sam Bush (Fiddle, Mandolin, Vocals)
    ・Jerry Douglas (Dobro, Vocals)
    ・Todd Phillips (Bass)

Recorded and mastered by Bruce Harvie.

    From Bruce Harvie:
It was billed as "The Whites", with Skaggs and Douglas in the band, but the surprise opening band was Skaggs, Rice, Bush, Phillips, and Douglas playing selections from "Manzanita" and other stuff from that era. The announcer said that they were broadcasting the show, so I heading out to the lobby and called my friend to slap a reel on the Ampex--we missed the first 30 seconds of "Little Cabin Home..." Oh well...

The cool part of the show was the passing of the mando/fiddle between Sam and Ricky and noting the differences in the styles.
    Downside: Ricky raps...
The Whites had a hard time following that set, BTW..

Man . . . JD Crowe and the New South from 1/24/75, what an absolute gift to be able to hear Tony's wondrous pipes at full power. The band in fine form all together.
