    Default Prelude and Fugue in G Major by Mendelssohn

    No. 2 of 3 Preludes and Fugues, Op.37

    originally written for organ

    this arrangement is for mandolin orchestra (quartet) with bowed string bass

    The prelude is quite lyrical. The Fugue is a little darker and more 'intense'



    In the score and parts (available below) I have left some extended notes, rather than splitting them into shorter note lengths, in the assumption that tremolo might be used.

    A bowed string bass is assumed.
