My mandolin was destroyed
Must I play banjo?
I met Butch at Cape Cod Mandolin Camp a few years ago, a wonderful musician and great person. My deepest condolences to his family.

I have a 57 and 58 that I bought in the mid 70s when I started gigging. I often use condenser mics when we play concerts, but for many gigs, I still use the 57 and 58. They're always in my equipment...
I think I'll have to hire an armed guard... hmmmmm, I don't know about some of the shifty people applying for the job, they seem just a little too eager. "Yes, I'll GUARD the mandola for you" they...
Still trying to find if he left any cool tunes in there http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif It does seem to really like old time tunes and blues.
Seth
OK, now that I figured it out, here's one more. What fooled me was that I pressed preview post after browsing the file.
Seth
OK, I read the directions http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif Let's see if that works.

I've got a Fishman Performer Loudbox, we're using it as a mini PA, works great for any acoustic instrument and voice.

Sorry to rile up the masses http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif I have pics in the hard drive, but have to figure out how to actually post one... for now, here are some...
Just have to share with everyone, I recently got a "new" used Kimble A style mandola. It's a fantastic instrument, both in sound and looks! I've been enjoying playing it for over a week now, I...
I've used the D'Addario J76 mediums or equivalent gauge from Euphonon on a 1919 H1 tuned CGDA for about a dozen years with no problems. I've just tried J72 on my Kimble and they feel great, will try...
