Heres #7 just a few minor adjustments and she's done. She sounds great very loud and responsive. And there is a slight natural reverb that really gives it a full/open sound.

Wow. Great looking mandolin. I'm gonna have to start on #2. You set the bar high, friend.

Sweet mando indeed! Also, congrats on a fine game against the Buffalo Bills this week; perhaps at some point (no rush), you could let us know what Tom Brady is really like? Thanks in advance bro, Bryn
Very nice work Randy!

that is really nice, Randy!
Got some new pics. My dad has one of them high dollar cameras with all the bells and whistles. There really is a huge difference in quality. Hope you like.

These pics really show the true color better and the clarity is no comparison to my camera. Now if I can just keep it lookin shiny. (doubt it!)

Very nice looking mandolin.
What kind and size frets did you go with?
How did you finish the neck?

I would lose the scalloped, unfretted fingerboard extension. Why do builders continue this unattractive practice when Collings has solved the problem of pick click so tastefully? I just can't figure...
My guess is that some people like the look just like some people prefer the looks of an f-style to and a-style while others prefer the a-style.Originally Posted by (Glassweb @ Nov. 27 2007, 09:23)
While I don't think I will put one on anything I build, it doesn't seem very hard to understand why others do.

Beautiful workmanship!
it's a box with strings. If it's a well made box, It'll play?
I hear you Bill, but when I see the F5s that Collings has designed using their abbreviated board I just see a thing of beauty. It works so well with the lines of the florentine style mandolin. Will Kimble has seen the light... I figure the evolution is coming, albeit slowly...
