Sergio was born on 1963 in Biella and now lives here. He began to build musical instruments in 1984, first the bagpipes and then the hurdy gurdy.
From here, he developed an interest in ancient music, and the evolution of friction wheel instruments, he start with the organistrum, followed by the synphonia and then the hurdy gurdy.
After several years of work, he has won much applause from professional musicians in Italy and Europe.
He has also built, in collaboration with a medieval lute teacher, some lutes which are similar to the lutes used in medieval times.
He has also made harps, nickelharps and other string instruments, but he specialises in the hurdy gurdy.
