Very nice, the shape suits it well!

I think the style of the pick guard matches the mandolin very well. Where did you get the celluloid, how did you shape and then bind it to the mandolin top? BTW is that a cedar topped mandolin?

Due to current budgetary restrictions the light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off -- sorry about the inconvenience.
Bernie I bought the material from Stewmac. Warmed it up in warm water for a bit, cut it with scissors, sanding the edges with 600 grit (or a file works as well) then smoother the edges with micro sanding pads of 3200, 3600, 4000, 6000 and then used swirl remover polish to polish it all out.
The top is red spruce actually. As for binding it to the top... Stewmac sells 3M double side film sheets for these type of acoustic guitar pickguard materials that doesn’t have an adhesive backing.

I think it looks great!
Very cleanly cut and matches the aesthetic of the instrument very well IMO.
Nice job, Joey! Looks like it belongs there.

Looks very nice Joey. I really like the way some areas are transparent. Good job!
This is the product I used. Easy to use.
