I've not seen a post from Willie in some time. Does anyone know why?

The last I remember, he was saying something about how he thought Bluegrass music was in danger of losing its way.
Seems he disappeared into the cornfield not long after...
"I play BG so that's what I can talk intelligently about." A line I loved and pirated from Mandoplumb
Hope all is well and he’s just really busy with his bands...

While he hasn't posted since 7/29, he has signed in to his account as recently as 12/22:

I e-mail back and forth with Willie fairly frequently; he gets my weekly e-mail newsletter. Seems fine. Last heard from him on Jan.5, when he said he'd been in contact with Bernie Daniels as well.
Willie's strong stand on what is or isn't "real" bluegrass music has aroused some discussion. (It is possible to get into a fracas or two here on the Cafe, as I can attest.) I think he's keeping a low profile as far as posting is concerned.

I also hear from Willie, he's a good guy and like us has opinions and I think he, well to put it honest he said he was banned? Don't know why but maybe he didn't follow the posting guidelines more than once? He never told me. Its a shame as he knows what he likes, and he's old school BLUEGRASS. Heck his family member was a pioneer in music back in the 20's-30's.
Willie is as strong headed as I am and equally opinionated! There are times when there just isn’t much to say or anything worth sharing. That generally does not keep me from running my yap though, just like right now!

In October he e-mailed me something to that effect. I'll leave it up to Scott and/or the moderators to clarify the situation, if they care to. Willie makes no bones about his opinions re: bluegrass music, and has engaged in some "spirited exchanges" over the years I've been on the Cafe.
