Thread: Bluetooth Mic

    Default Bluetooth Mic

Being new to the instrument (and this site), I'm having trouble being heard in my acoustic band. I have a small Bluetooth speaker (Anker) that would provide just enough sound but does someone make a bluetooth mic that would work in this case? Don't want to haul around a large speaker and amp. Thanks for any feedback you can provide.

A bluetooth mic is not a good idea for live sound reinforcement as it will bring too much latency (delay) into the signal chain. If you play your phone‘s music through your bt speaker, latency is not a big issue, since it does‘t have to be in sync with something else. But if you play and your original (acoustic) sound blends with the delayed amplified sound of the bt sound system, you‘ll hear a undesirable echoing effect...

So any suggestions on a simple solution? Is there a complete system available to eliminate shopping around for all the components?

    What kind of music?
    Is it a loud band?
Are you looking for a wireless solution or can u use a wired mic?
Does it have to be battery powered?
Do you have a pickup installed in the mandolin yet?
