    Default Mark Leaf Dread case

If I hadn't just bought a set of Waverly tuners I'd be all over this case in the classifieds.

Somebody needs to buy this thing so I'm not tempted. I have NFI by the way. Just a strong desire to own it

Mike - Having owned a ML Banjo case at one time,i can testify that they are the ONLY case,i'd ever trust an instrument to in an aircraft baggage hold, but they are hellishly heavy & a tad bulky. That said,on my way back from the US in '92,i was told to put my banjo + ML case in the overhead luggage locker,it fit with room for 2 more !!. Terrific case, possibly the finest ever made,

I'm surprised that no one has ever tried to revive the Mark Leaf line.

A nice upgrade would be wheels on the guitar and banjo cases.

From J.Albert - "A nice upgrade would be wheels on the guitar and banjo cases.". My ML banjo case + banjo weighed in at 31 lbs. I honestly did consider buying a golf trolley for it. I remember one year, after one of our UK Bluegrass festivals had changed venue to a couple of miles away from where it used to be held, the guest house where i used to stay was close to that far away from the new venue. I had to haul my banjo back to the guest house on 3 occasions & it nearly pulled my arms off.

Awesome cases, but you need a car to carry one for any distance. I suspect that the cost of making a simililar case today, would make a Hoffee case look cheap by comparison (price wise). Between an inner & outer shell, the's a layer of foam to stiffen & strengthen the whole assembly,so not quite as straight forward as a simple one shell design,
