    Default Want plugs made

Have an 8 to 4 string conversion. using Schaller tuners. EM 150, from an A 50..
thinking of replacing 4 of their bushings with black plugs , held in place
with a thru the hole plug, the string post filled., screw tn the back..

removing the un needed tuners.. Simple task with Schaller construction

A lathe and some black plastic or material that can be painted black would do ..

I have exrtra bushings to send as a pattern..

    any takers, or reccomendations ?

Do you have pictures of what you need? Drawings? Specs? I have a lathe and black acetal polymer, possibly some small scraps of African Blackwood.

Just sent a sent a PM but you apparently forgot this post reply?

was there someone else, to turn out 4 pieces?

I have extra Schaller flanged bushings to copy. just needs to make it domed
and able to take a screw (& flatwasher)
in the reverse side to replace where the round gear was..

Re reading your original post, I"m thinking that if you had a dowel of the correct diameter it would be simple to cut it into 4 appropriate pieces and glue them in. That may be what I end up doing for you, re our PM conversation.
If all you want is to fill the post holes of the tuners that you remove, a fairly simple do it yourself fix might be to mix up a batch of epoxy with black wood dust added. Put tape over the holes to be plugged, front side of the headstock, then load up the holes with the epoxy.
Whatever you do, you might need to re-finish the front of the headstock if you're looking for an invisible repair.

If the dowel is a bit larger than the hold, you could also drill it larger with a (dowel) matching drill bit. I just did that when plugging the 6 bridge pin holes when converting a guitar to octave mandolin.
