Blue Moon
I've played Richard Rodgers' classic "Blue Moon" on guitar for years (and can be overheard singing the Marcels' doo-wop version to myself when no-one's listening!), but thought I'd do a simple version of it on tenor guitar. Here it is in G. By the way, I have many of my tenor audio tracks stored in Garageband, which means I can isolate the lead from the backing and create separate backing tracks. If anyone would like a backing track and I happen to have it available, let me know and I'll post it as a download on my website.
Anyway, on to "Blue Moon"...

Re: Blue Moon
Learning to play The Lurcher - because I have one and The Gloucester Hornpipe - because I live on the county boundary and want to confidently play music with a local heritage, drew me deeper into your site and inspired me to take on a Tenor Guitar because a change is as good as a rest and I can apply the same 'moves' for a different tone without having to reinvent my personal 'wheel'. Thanks for the inspiration and the example.....even if your version of 'simple' and mine is simply not the same

Re: Blue Moon
Ah - good to see someone playing "The Lurcher"! I wrote that after studying some tunes of John Kirkpatrick's, and wanted something with quirky time signature changes which would flow in spite of those changes. The tune lurches from one rhythm to another...
