I took advantage of a 50% offer last December 24th. My subscription expires today. Got an email this morning with the subject line "A Special Holiday Surprise Coming Soon....." that said "a gift coming to your inbox this Saturday," so I m hoping it is a similar deal.

Paid $75 a few years ago for a lifetime mebership to Banjo Ben's site. That was just about the best $75 I ever spent!

I bought (2) subscriptions last year as well. Mandolin and Guitar. Not one email from them from day one. I requested an email be sent to me today but - No reply. Maybe I am on their do not reply to list. Great Website - Fantastic instruction and material. Same cannot be said for their admin side..

I also took advantage of the sale. This is the third time I've tried to learn mandolin, and I've had my current mandolin for about a year, with very little to show for it. I'm hoping with the timetable (I purchased a year), this will help motivate me to stick to it and really take advantage of all of the lessons. I opted to get the gift certificate, so I can start when I'm ready. I'm going to get my Eastman MD315 setup with D'Addario EXP74CM strings (currently strung with Gibson Sam Bush Monels) and make sure everything is right with it before I dive in to the lessons.

I'm in my third year of lessons with MM, and it's been great. Mike's a perceptive teacher, and the format works for me. Lots of tunes in beginner, intermediate, and advanced sections, and hundreds of student video submissions and Mike's replies, all available to peruse. Be sure to submit in a video right away, even if it's just short and simple, and Mike will send you in the right direction.
