There's still a chance that if we have some extra sets we'll be sending them to our UK and Canadian offices to extend the beta test results. We'll keep you posted.

I'll share that thought with our Brand Team

John - if we have extra sets leftover, we're going to send them to our UK and Canadian offices, which will allow us to extend this accordingly. We'll keep you posted, should that occur.

I've had my eye on the NB line since I saw them available for pre-order (for guitar) on Amazon--who knew you could pre-order strings, right?
Still going through my back stock, so at this point it's just a question of whether I'll try the mando set, 12 string, or 6 string first...

    Hi Don:
Just checking in. Any clue as to when these strings will be sent out. I have a mandolin I want to try them on and am waiting to see when they will arrive.

I'm wondering also if I should wait to change strings. If it's going to be three weeks, I will. If they're coming in a week or two, maybe not.

There was a small shipping issue so we're configuring slightly. They were supposed to go out the last week of September. They are now slated to go out the first week of October. Thanks for your patience!

I beta tested the nickel bronze acoustic guitar strings for D'Addario and really liked them. I still have them on my 00-18 and they still sound great. Since I gig out with my mandolin, I'll be curious to see how I like the new strings and how long they will last.

ALL - don from D'Addario here - just an update on the Beta tester strings. There were two issues that have slightly delayed notification of testers. The first was packaging. We had to do a reorder and that set us back. The second was getting samples out to artists. So I've been advised that as of this morning, emails are being sent to all the beta testers that were chosen - 400 in total - so be sure to check your email. Sets will then be packed up and sent out in the next few days. We GREATLY appreciate your patience. Our previous beta tests seem to go so smoothly, but every now and then a few bumps in the road can just make things difficult. Any questions or concerns - you can message me here or shoot me an email - don.dawson2@daddario.com - and thanks for taking the time to sign up!

If they are sending out 400 sets then it looks like we should all get a set, not that many posters on here but they may have offered them to other forums too...I only hope that I am one that gets a set to try, I have been waiting to change strings just so I could give them a try....

Don, would you be able to give us a heads up on this thread once all of the email notifications have been sent? It would be great to know if we weren't selected, so that those of us who've been waiting on a string change can move on. Thanks!

ALL - i've been notified that all the emails have been sent out to our potential Beta Test Team. Originally, we were looking for 400 players to assist in this beta test. However, due to the delay, our brand team said that they made up an extra 200 sets, in appreciation of everyone's patience - so we've contacted 600 players. Lots of emails out there - thanks again for your patience and for taking the time to sign up.

Got my email. I'd forgotten about the beta and was just about to change strings on the rat but now I have a new experiment incoming! Awesome!

Time to wear the shine off the strings on the other mandolins while I wait.
