    Default medley of Irish tunes

    Hi folks,

I don't post here often and when I do it's usually under classical. But I also play quite a bit of Irish music. This is a video of me playing at World Fest 2014 at the Boston Conservatory where I teach music theory and world music courses:

Spring Songs - bring 'em on. Anything that has a chance of working. I am on the point of lighting stinky bonfires and smudge pots to offend the nostrils of old man winter.

    Jim,
I really enjoyed what I could hear but it came in really weak on my lap top with everything turned up. Don't know whether it is me or not. Thanks

The video was recorded at a very low level, evidently. It's not you...

    Jim,
    I really enjoyed your video.
Beautiful arrangement and very expressive, melodic playing.

Thanks. I wish it was louder too. Concert Services at the Conservatory took care of the video...

    Yes, standard tuning.

And thank you all for the comments.

Fantastic playing. I was particularly impressed that the expressive style carried on into the reel played at a brisk tempo. So often reels played at session tempo just get machine gunned out with no musicality.
It may have been recorded at a low level but the applause at the end wasn't- my dog jumped out of her skin!

    Thanks, James!

As for the level of the applause: I think it was recorded from the back of the hall. Probably student workers who need a bit of sound training...
