Back when I was playing electric guitar, I was taken by the fact that every heavy metal band would lay back once in a while and produce a quiet ballad -- whether it was Kiss' "Beth" or The Scorpions "I'm Still Lovin' You," etc. Now, as I get deeper into playing mandolin, I see the great players seem to do the same, they eventually sit back and play a sweet waltz. I'm particularly taken by the late Butch Baldessari's "Azalea Waltz," Andy Statman's, "Flatbush Waltz," and Dawg's "Dawg's Waltz," and must give homage to Bill's "Kentucky Waltz," that no doubt started it all. Two questions here: 1) What's your favorite mandolin waltz, and 2) Where can I get standard notation sheet music to Azelea Waltz. I want to record it with both guitar and mandolin. I see there's a 1914 recording on YouTube (discussed here before) but it's a different Azalea Waltz.
