A few years back I browsed a Heritage Guitar catalog, lo and behold, mandolins! I had no idea, so I asked and received their reply.
"We are no longer making mandolins."
Which tells me they used to. Has anyone played or owned one?

Aaron Cowles,a former Gibson employee, of Vicksburge MI used to build the Heritage Mandolins, He now just builds them under the name Jubal mandolins.

I have a nice Heritage A model (F-holes) that I got (second-hand) about 3 years ago. Great fit and finish. Sound is comparable to my Flatiron A, not quite as nice as my Gibson A-5L.
