"That was the whole reason for the joking behind the "4-1/2" designation." Sorry I was being dim, I was wondering what it meant... I get it now.
"Yeah, the first A5 was the Griffith A5, no? (15 frets, right?)" Yes BUT that didn't go into production, what about the A5 with two points and the F headstock? I think Gibson even called the lump scroll/mouse ear thingy an A5 at one point? I am really not trying to start an argument here... just having a little fun with Gibson's naming practices over the years.
