sounds pretty great-good tone, lots of volume. Has a lot to give depending on how hard I play. It plays amazing because of the compound and big frets. I love it. but I don't know how to adjust neck...
Can't figure out how to orient the photos. It did it automatically on my pc, but not when uploading
Anyway...you can see the big gap in the last picture.
well I ordered the bridge jig from Cumberland acoustic and manged to eff it up. The bridge is at an angle and not flat...I also sanded too much, the little gap is almost gone. If I sanded a little...

The north field case was listed at pretty much full price in the classifieds...
I just got a KM 1050. I have a tone guard and Banjo lit arm rest. Would like to be able to leave tone gard on...What are some cases that would be a great snug fit?
thanks Doug, I just ordered my jig from Cumberland acoustic. Hopefully that's all I'll need til I can get it to Steve for a proper setup. I might try and order nut files and feeler guages as well...
What kind of sandpaper should I use to shape bridge to top? Any other tools I need or tips? I'm setting up bridge on new mando? Any reference books or online courses that are good for basic setup?
The Mando was from Amazon not a third party. I think whoever packed it just did not care. Full refund though, no hassle-so that part was good.
The 950 from musician's friend came and it looks...
CCravens—Reread my original post-I had first ordered with Mando store. They are back ordered for 950. Maybe I should have waited...well find out tomorrow.
So have you had a bad experience with...
I had ordered one with the Mandolin store, but when they opened the box it was a 900. Got my refund and couldn't find them anywhere, but found one remaining at Amazon so I ordered it. Came to the...
yikes. will do...thanks
Hiscox Liteflite pro ll, or Superior deluxe fiberglass? Or something else?
Steal away Drew! There's a few variations in there he doesn't do, but more or less I think I got pretty close.
I'm casting another vote for the KM-150 plus a good setup. Check out some of my youtube vids and soundcloud tracks to hear mine. I'd also suggest getting a tone-gard.
Here's another, "Bananas", by you know who. https://youtu.be/tOoVWjJae6U
I'll checkout Simon. Have you listened to Sarah Jarosz or the Punch Brothers?
Thanks derbex, most people do not consider Sam Bush bluegrass, he blends a bunch of different styles together. What kind of stuff do you listen to usually?
Thanks L. I've been playing mandolin for about 2 1/2 years, but I played guitar for a round 20 on and off, and played fiddle for a year before mandolin.
I absolutely love this!
Yeah, it took a bit of figuring out, but I'm not a fan of shifting no tht much soposition playing worked ok. The pinky and rig finger still don't cooperate as well as I'd like up there and there are...
Thanks be to you kind gentlemen
So I'm pretty much a Sam Bush junkie. Most of what I know on mando comes from him, Skaggs, and some from Sierra. Anyway here's a couple of Sam Tunes. I'd love to get some nit pickin' critiques from...
Hey. I had never seen that resource before. No not much different than theirs. They did a good job. Just a very few things I had different. I did transcribe the variations he played the second time...
