    Re: Northfield Airloom Recurve review

    Thanks Adrian.
    Those look sweet!
If one wanted to upgrade to your new latch, would it be possible to trade in a Recurve case with the older latch and get a deal on the new one? Or is there a way...

Re: Pono MND-20 Tenor size Octave Mandolin!

Since I'm used to playing a 000 size guitar with it balanced on my leg, the smaller body size of the MD-20 just wasn't ergonomically a good fit for me. It sounded and played great though, and if...
  5. Re: Looking for a Tenor recommendation? Try a Blue Ridge BR-40TCE

Sweet! I saw your previous thread and thought you would end up with the Blueridge tenor. Good call.
Post a video when you get a chance.

    I have 2 Blueridge tenor guitars, a BR-40TCE & a BR40T and...

    Re: Nut question

Sounds like you're on the right track.
I'd shim under the nut and test it out. If that fixes the issue, you can just leave the shim and be done. Or you can remove the shim, fill the nut slots and...

Re: Toning down a bright instrument

I'm a fan of Daddario EFW74 flatwound strings, especially for oval hole mandolins.

    Re: Nut Width for OM

I don't mean to hijack your thread, but check out the ToneDexter DI/Preamp.
Best natural sounding setup I've ever had for my acoustic instruments that have pickups.

Re: Adjustment for Eastman Tuning Pegs

Agreed. Sounds like the strings are binding in the nut slots. You might be able to get it working better by just lubricating the slots by drawing in them with a pencil (after loosening the strings...

    Re: Nut Width for OM

Needs more room for thicker strings, and you need more room between strings to keep them from interfering with each other.

Edit- more importantly for small hands, you might consider a shorter...

    Re: Gibson F-5L thoughts

I think when you're spending that kind of money, an in person visit or a decent return period is necessary. If they have 4 or 5 instruments that you're interested in, a visit to the shop might be...

    Re: Under Seat on Plane?

I see people flying with electric guitars in hard cases frequently. Easier to stow in the overhead than an acoustic guitar, which I also see quite a lot of. Just make sure you board on the earlier...
