Nice mandolin! On the style C mandolins the labels were changed from "Lyon & Healey" to Washburn" in the early 1920's according to my book on Washburn. Others that know more about the serial number...

I have replaced Eastman tailpieces with Allen tailpieces with good results. Direct replacement as I recall.
I stopped using casein picks years ago because they would break unexpectedly.
