one of my friends ripped off the cover and some of the hooks broke off. I replaced it with another one with different screw holes with a drill. works fine.

My tailpiece broke on my rover and I cannot find a replacement with the same screwholes. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement or am I going to have to drill new holes?
Well I kept the bridge in the exact same spot by changing the low strings while the high strings were still on and vice versa and I used they exact same strings. I guess I'll just bring it to the guy...
I just changed my strings and now there is a ringing on the 7th fret of the D string. This happened before and I brought to a guy to fix it and he did for 50 bucks. Now it's back!

I joined the blues band at school and they're making me buy my own equipment. I went to 3 music stores yesturday to look at pickups and I don't like them. None of the stores had electric mandolins...
i wouldn't be asking if the school had it. i don't have time to rummage through old posts... if anyone else would care to help me it would be greatly appreciated.
I just recently joined the blues ensemble at school and need to know how to make my mandolin louder. Would it be better to get a pickup or just play into a microphone?
