yes, adding more metal iron powder make the gauges thiner also in presence of an higher tension. As consequence, the sound became more brillian than before.
I wonder if the breackage of the strings...

yes, this set was designed to have a similar tension of the metal mandolin strings. The previous set all white Nylgut was too weak.
These strings are the red series new formula....
