This is an incredible recording! The musicianship is stellar, the song selection is diverse but with a cohesive thread throughout. Brian Oberlin's mandolin chops are spectacular, in the same league as the big boys - Grismanesque, I would venture to say, but with his own unique style and voice on the instrument. The musical chemistry and interplay between the bass and mandolin is nothing less than stunning. Both of these musicians deserve a wider audience - check it out!!
