Acoustic Disc and the Mandolin Cafe are teaming up in December to give away 30 CDs from the Acoustic Disc library. Founded in 1990 by mandolinist, composer, bandleader and producer extraordinaire David Grisman, Acoustic Disc is an independent record label dedicated to the preservation and integrity of acoustic music, musicians and instruments. Varied releases cover acoustic music of all genres—be it David's own award-winning dawg music, bluegrass, classical, latin, jazz or folk.
To date, Grisman has put his creative touch on over 45 remarkable and different productions for his thriving label—-five of which have been nominated for Grammys. Acoustic Disc releases have received critical acclaim from "Stereophile," "The Wall Street Journal," "People" magazine, "Rolling Stone," "Mojo" and many others.
This free chance to win a CD will be available to all Mandolin Cafe visitors who register between December 1-15, 2005. Cafe visitors are also welcome to sign up at any time for the Acoustic Disc Newsletter available on their web site. For additional details, visit the Mandolin Cafe home page on December 1.
