Sarah Jarosz Signs with Sugar Hill Records

Sugar Hill Records has announced the signing of Austin, Texas based singer, songwriter, mandolin player and multi-instrumentalist Sarah Jarosz.

Recipient of number awards and honors, she most recently received an Austin Music Award during the South by Southwest Music conference.

In May of 2006, she was a guest mandolinist with the Austin Symphony Orchestra for Ballet Austin's production of "Romeo and Juliet."

In addition, Sarah was one of five teens who was invited to perform with Earl Scruggs and Ricky Skaggs as part of the ABC television presentation of the 2005 CMA (Country Music Association) Music Festival hosted by Kix Brooks in Nashville, Tennessee.

A list of who's who acoustic musicians she has performed on stage with includes Earl Scruggs, Ricky Skaggs, The David Grisman Quintet, Tim O'Brien, Chris Thile, Mike Marshall and many more.

Already an accomplished acoustic veteran at the age of 16, Jarosz is slated to release a recording with Sugar Hill in 2009.
