Sore Fingers Week 2008

Sore Fingers Week 2008

Kingham, Chipping Norton, UK — Sore Fingers Week 2008, a UK-based Bluegrass and Old Time Camp will hold their annual event here March 24-28, 2008 at the Kingham Hill School.

Students will have an opportunity to study with masters of all bluegrass instruments along with tracks that focus on singing and songwriting.

Award winning Canadian Andrew Collins will conduct the mandolin courses with Dan Norton who will focus on beginner and intermediate mandolin instruction.

In addition to Collins and Norton, a major U.S. player everyone will recognize may be added to the staff in the near future as the mandolin tracks are already being filled and additional staff may be necessary to match the demand.

The camp entrance fee include 5 full days tuition, 6 nights accommodation and all meals (breakfast, lunch & dinner). There are several accommodation options from camping and self-catering in the school grounds to full board in the school accommodation houses.

A number of organizations in the United Kingdom and the United States are assisting by funding places for young musicians. This year the Cool Mandolin Company will provide spots for two lucky individuals.
