Kensington, Md. — The non-profit Plucked String Foundation, Inc. announces its first book publication, Teardrops In My Eyes - The Music of Harley "Red" Allen, by Dennis Satterlee.

In its over 200 paperback letter-sized pages, the book features such outstanding mandolinists as Bobby Osborne, Frank Wakefield, Audie Blaylocck and David Grisman. Each speaks candidly about his time with Red.

In addition to a photo section, the book contains a very inclusive index, large discography and a listing of Allen's songs.

All funds except for cost of the book and postage will go to the Foundation. Work of packing, invoicing, shipping will be done by volunteers. No remuneration or any payments go to volunteers. The author has generously asked that his royalties go to the Bluegrass Museum.
