New York, N.Y. — The New York Mandolin Orchestra is happy to have Barry Mitterhoff as its guest artist for a concert on Sunday, March 18, 2007 at 2:00 p.m.
The concert will be held at the High School for Health Professions and Human Services at 345 East 15th Street, near First Avenue.
Tickets are $10 for general admission and $5 for seniors and students. Children under 14 are admitted free.
The program will consist of familiar music by J.S. Bach, John Lennon and Paul McCartney, Duke Ellington, Scott Joplin and others.
Formed in 1924, The New York Mandolin Orchestra is the only classical mandolin orchestra that has played continuously in this area for the past 83 years. Being community based, the orchestra performs in hospitals, nursing homes and rehabilitation and neighborhood centers.
