Boston Bluegrass Union Auctioning Mandolin To Benefit Educational Programs

Framingham, Mass. — The Boston Bluegrass Union is auctioning an Eastman 815 mandolin to benefit the extensive educational programs they offer for both children and adults.
In addition to the mandolin, a Beard resonator guitar will also be a part of the effort to raise funds. Both instruments are being donated by the companies that built them.
The instruments can be viewed at the Joe Val Bluegrass Festival, beginning Friday, February 16, 2007 in Framingham. Festival attendance is not required and bids will be accepted by email.
The auctions close at 3:00 p.m. EDT, Sunday, February 18, 2007. Auction winners will be announced at the festival at 3:45 p.m. EDT. There is a reserve price for each instrument.
Also available for raffle at the Joe Val Festival will be a Washburn mandolin, Deering Goodtime banjo, and Blueridge guitar, all donated by the companies that build these fine instruments.
