Saratoga Springs, N.Y. — Students of traditional style mandolin will have a unique opportunity to learn from a true master when first generation bluegrass legend Frank Wakefield holds a series of mandolin mini-camps at his home.
March 23-25 and April 20-22, 2007 are the first dates scheduled with the possibility of additional events in the future.
Each camp is limited to just three students, providing a unique opportunity to study in a very private setting. Throughout the three days Frank will teach the students as a group and also give each student individual lessons.
Students are invited to stay at the Wakefield residence (including meals) for the duration of the camp as part of the total cost of the event ($600.00).
After a recommended Thursday evening arrival, classes will commence Friday through Sunday afternoon. Saratoga Springs is about 30 miles north of Albany, New York.
Since Mr. Wakefield does not own a personal computer, those interested in registering for a camp are asked to call his home at (518) 584-1298. The mailing address to send camp fees is:
PO Box 1293
