The next ZoukFest World Music Camp will take place from Sunday, June 10 to Saturday, June 16, 2007 at the College of Santa Fe in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
The College of Santa Fe Contemporary Music Program will host ZoukFest 2007. The Contemporary Music Program is in the newly renovated Benildus Hall on the CSF campus which includes numerous classrooms and the O'Shaunessey Auditorium. These well-designed facilities plus the enthusiastic support of Steve Paxton, head of the CSF Contemporary Music Program and Polly Tapia Ferber, ZoukFest staff member and CSF Contemporary Music Program professor make this an ideal choice for ZoukFest.
An added bonus is that College of Santa Fe is centrally located in the Santa Fe, New Mexico, the cultural capital of the Southwest. Long acknowledged as a center for art, Santa Fe is chock full of galleries and history museums, excellent restaurants and unique shopping opportunities. We expect that many ZoukFest attendees will want to take advantage of this, and so our Sunday evening to Saturday morning schedule will allow plenty of time to take in Santa Fe during the two weekends bracketing the camp. We've had a lot of interest from spouses and partners of ZoukFest attendees who want to come to ZoukFest but not attend classes. These folks will have a great time exploring everything Santa Fe has to offer.
