Mike Compton Mandolin Workshop

Mike Compton and Mountain Made Music have teamed up to offer a one-day mandolin workshop at The Heartland Center in Columbus, Indiana, October 25, 2003, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Considered one of the finest bluegrass mandolin players of all-time, Mike is currently mandolinist for the award winning Nashville Bluegrass Band. He recently received Grammy Award acknowledgements for his performances in "Oh Brother Where Art Thou?," Album of the Year and Best Compilation Soundtrack Album, and "Down From the Mountain," Best Traditional Folk Album, which included artists such as Ralph Stanley, Norman and Nancy Blake, Alison Krauss and Union Station and many others. He was also part of last year's sold out "Down From the Mountain" tour which
included the original soundtrack cast along with Ricky Skaggs, Patty Loveless, the Del McCoury Band, and Rodney Crowell.
Workshop times are 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM with lunch break.
Registration Fee: $60.00 (lunch not included). Attendance is limited. If necessary Mike will conduct another workshop the following day, October 26, 2003, with the same format.
Audio recording of the workshop is permissible as long as it does not distract others or interfere with conducting the workshop. Video recording is prohibited.
