Northampton, Mass. — Django in June, New England's premier occasion to celebrate the music of Gypsy jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt is proud to welcome premier jazz mandolinist Don Stiernberg to their staff for Django Camp, June 17-22, 2014.
Don has been a faculty member at The Mandolin Symposium, Steve Kaufman's Acoustic Kamp, Ashokan Western and Swing Week, The Winnipeg Folkfest, Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas, IBMA World of Bluegrass and more.
He has written the jazz column for Mandolin Magazine since it began publication. Don't miss your chance to spend a few days with Don at Django in June!
In addition to mandolin, classes in guitar, violin, bass and accordion are available allowing students the experience of immersing themselves in Gypsy jazz for 5 days under the tutelage of world-class artists from both sides of the Atlantic, and with students of all abilities.
