Nashville, Tenn. — Carter Vintage Guitars has announced they are now representing renowned mandolin maker Stephen Gilchrist.

Gilchrist, based in Lake Gnotuk, Australia, will begin building a new batch of eight mandolins and guitars in January for delivery in early fall 2014.

"Part of our mission at Carter Vintage is to connect great instruments from individual makers with musicians and collectors," said Christie Carter of Carter Vintage. "We've known Steve Gilchrist and his instruments for many years, and we’re honored to have new Gilchrists at Carter Vintage."

The mix of mandolin family instruments and guitars in the upcoming batch will be determined by customers’ orders. For pricing and ordering information, contact Christie Carter at (615) 915-1851.

Carter Vintage Guitars, owned by vintage instrument veterans Christie and Walter Carter, opened in Nashville in June 2013.
