You folks in the Bay area are so lucky. She's beyond wonderful. I don't know where else in the classical mandolin world you will find this combination of amazing insight and pure fun, steeped in years of study. Caterina brings all of that to what you might have considered "old" material, and it just comes alive. Then she brings the same joy to something like a Brubeck or Gershwin piece and you can practically hear them joining hands across the centuries with their counterparts from the past. Sure wish I could relocate for the summer!
