Ricky Skaggs - Music To My Ears

Nashville, Tenn. — Ricky Skaggs is back at it again with a bluegrass flavored collection entitled Music To My Ears on Skaggs Family Records, Inc.

As with many Skaggs recordings, sometimes a surprise is inserted as in Bee Gee Barry Gibb joining in on lead vocals for the bluegrass flavored Soldier's Son and Skaggs grabbing a guitar for a spirited version of Tennessee Stud in honor of the late Doc Watson.

While not all cuts will please the most pure of bluegrass purists, there's plenty in here to enjoy for hard core Skaggs fans and enough bluegrass red meat to please those that insist on it from one of the masters.

Things In Life
You Can't Hurt Ham

I love Bluegrass Rules and the like, and have gone on buying his releases. However the last two have been a little watered down for my liking as they've strayed too far from the bluegrass idiom. Anyone know what kind of sound this one carries before I shell out my hard earned?
