Fabulous news - Mike's Concerto is superb - I wish I could get out there - if you are anywhere close, this one is a must.

The show was a complete success. All the composers, (except Schoenberg, of corse), were present for the evening. Each of their compositions were wonderfully interpreted and executed to the delight of the folks present. See...

This was Mike's first performance of his three part concerto with a professional ensemble. Phil Collins conducted the New Music Works with Mike in the first chair. It was reminiscent of bluegrass, Bach, America...Brilliant. I hope Mike can make a proper studio recording of his composition, it is most worthy. Original, punchy, just the right amount of complexity yet very accessible. The listener was carried from one movement to the next, the lead voice changing from Mando to Violin to Clarinet. Modern and still very traditional and easy to follow. A wonderful new composition for the Mandolin and orchestra.
