Orleans, Calif. — The 2009 Klamath River MandoJam and workshops will be held June 11-14 at the Sandy River Ranch and Nursery.

This year's lineup includes special guest instructors Brad Kauder, Paul Blackwell and Lynda Scheben, and Ashland's own Flat Five String Band here for the weekend as the house band.

Each summer and fall Sandy Bar Ranch hosts The Klamath River Guitar & MandoJam, an opportunity for acoustic musicians of all levels and styles to learn, play and enjoy acoustic music in a beautiful mountain setting and supportive environment. This affordable venue features a mix of daily workshops, jam sessions, demonstrations, and fun on the river. Come learn and jam on the banks of the Klamath and enjoy the river, the mountains and the beginning of summer.

The Klamath River MandoJam provides an informal, non-competitive setting to enjoy good music, good food and good company in a beautiful spot. A lot of learning happens just by swapping tunes, getting shown a new chord or two, and jamming with old and new friends. The setup is simple to keep costs down, and lodging is in shared cabins or camping. One meal a day is served and participants are on their own for the other two (good opportunity for potlucks with cabin mates and other cabins).

Cost: sliding scale - $175-$200 per person. Includes hostel style lodging in cabins or camping, 1 meal per day (participants responsible for other meals), workshops and jam circles. To register send either the full amount ($175 -200) or a $100 deposit to:

Located in a uniquely beautiful corner of California, the camp is in the middle of the Six River National Forest and close to 4 wilderness areas: Siskiyou, Marble Mountain, Russian and Trinity Alps.
