We haven't got around to recording anything just yet but some of the practice sessions are starting to show some promise.

Great stuff Michael! Wonderful, tasteful performance and excellent sound.
How was this recorded (single source or mixed)?
Looking forward to hearing more.

Thanks all. We hope to get into the studio this fall sometime.
Good stuff Mike.
Thanks buddy, although I'm not sure why I bother posting mandolin music on this site.
You could just send it directly to me I guess. I'm really impressed with the tone you are getting out of that Mowry even on the semi low tech system that you used here. Is there going to be more instrumentation in the recording sessions? Are the Moonshiners still rolling along?

I could listen to this anytime. I like it.

Very nice.
I have the world in a jug, and the stopper in my hand.
Nice work on mando in this tune. I just started playing back in May (first instrument) and started playing with a band putting out similar tunes. How long have you been playing?
A long time, maybe 30 years. I've always been all over the map, musically. Grisman was an important early influence, partly for his playing but also due to his "no
boundaries" attitude about how the mandolin could fit in with, and contribute to any kind of music. I have played a lot of bluegrass but also swing, jazz, blues, rock, klezmer, country, oldtime, celtic and other stuff I've probably forgotten about.
But one of my favourite things to do is back up a singer/songwriter, as in this example. I should tell you that I think I over-played somewhat but this was a rehearsal and my approach when I first hear a song (this was my first take on it) I tend to play a lot of stuff, then review and refine what I'm doing.
