Frank Fairfield- Captain Canela (Southwestern Fiddle Tune Medley)

Is anyone familiar with this recording from Frank Fairfield's recent self-release "Ingleside"?

"Captain Canela (Southwestern Fiddle Tune Medley)"

I'd like to know what tunes make up this medley. A couple sound familiar but I cannot name them. One sounds to me like bits of Hop High Ladies (Miss McLeod's Reel). He's known for resurrecting not-so-well known tunes so they could be totally obscure.

I didn't know about this new Frank Fairfield release. Can't find it on iTunes. Where did you pick it up?

This was available only directly from him (his wife) on Facebook or at live shows. I've been informed he's sold out however.

Darn. I just missed him at Newport last year, and I have been hoping to see him live. Well, I better keep my ears open from now on. Maybe I should join Facebook to keep tabs on Frank.

Wait, Newport where?

When I bought this CD from his wife, she asked for recommendations of places to play here (Halifax, Nova Scotia). Said he'd be coming through this way this past July.

Apparently they couldn't work anything out. Bummer.

Newport Rhode Island at the Newport Folk Fest. Saw some good acts, but Frank Fairfield played Saturday, we were there Sunday.

Been subsequently enjoying Frank's newest self-released CD "Down Home Music In The Southwest" that I got in the mail about Christmastime.
