Hi all,
I own a second hand Kasuga that has a shadow bridge with an in-built 3.5mm jack that I picked up around a year ago that sounds just great acoustically. Being second hand however, and quite old as well, there have been a few issues with the bridge producing amplified sound: crackles during any movement whatsoever mainly. So I thought it was probably time to upgrade. My first search on ebay showed a lot of different kinds of bridge-pickups, as well as just pickups and just bridges that has left me with a few questions:
1) What are the main things that set apart a cheap from an expensive bridge?
2) What is the most practical kind of set up in regard to what I previously mentioned, i.e. bridge-pickup or individual bridge and pickup?
3) What is the difference between curved top and flat bridges?

Thanks very much for your help!
Jimmy.
