Thread: Kay Kraft Mandolin neck not a Weymann

Default Kay Kraft Mandolin neck not a Weymann

After additional research I believe I have a Kay Kraft 30's mandolin in need of a new neck. There is a Waymann logo however I think it was sold by Weymann thus the confusion.
It is a venetian style, body is in good shape, but I will need another neck to make it playable.
    Any suggestion would be appreciated.

New necks can be built readily enough. Post some pictures, it may not need a new neck, but rather something as simple a bridge adjustment, or some TLC to the existing neck (i.e, neck reset or addition of a truss rod). To hire a luthier to do completely replace the neck will cost at least as much as the instrument is worth, but fortunately, it's rare that a whole new neck is needed.
