I got this tenor about a month and a half ago, and I thought I'd share a little about it to kind of help keep a record of vintage instruments and their quality.
I got this off ebay for about $170 (perhaps a little more than it's commonly considered worth) and when I got it, I was pleasantly surprised by the tone. I'd never played a tenor before, so I have no comparison, but still, I loved it. A tuning peg broke on my classical guitar, so I moved all of the strings down one and added that guitar string as the 4th string, and tuned it down to FCGD, since I considered the body more than ample for a lower tuning. It still sounds great to me, and I really enjoy playing it. I've also found that it's a very easy transition from mandolin, as the neck isn't much thicker. I'd say my only real complaint is that the tuners are slow as molasses, but that's obviously a personal problem. What I'm saying is, if you want a cheap tenor, this is great, and if you find one in a flea market or whatever, get it.
I didn't mean to write a review, per se, but whatever.
If it's good enough for Elvis, it's good enough for me.
