You are incredibly close to the used price for a Collings MT (the one's I've played have been powerful!). I would also recommend going used rather than new and forget the scroll. Look for Kentucky KM900 or an Eastman in your range along with Weber. They have radiused necks but very different profiles. I've not played a The Loar brand or the JBoviers. Play before you pay at least to see if you like the feel of a specific type).
