    i really really like the looks and sounds of these things, like the michael lewis and the boots imperial mandos. anyone have one? any thoughts? any Pictures

    Here's a couple more details...



    Yes, those are microelectronics hiding under that macassar ebony pickguard! Pickguard/pickup (a Kent Armstrong minihumbucker) unit comes away easily to leave acoustic look.

    This is carved top/back with tone bar construction. I have another model that has same look, but completely different construction technique.

    Joe....I don't see 8 strings on that beast...and looks like it has been on steroids!
    Just kiddin....I thought this thread was for archtop style MANDOS!!!! # I bet that's why I have felt like the "Lone Stranger" ....went back and looked at the thread title....it IS a bit misleading. I thought it was kinda cold and lonesome in here....shoulda never left home without my scroll! #LMAO #
    Alright .....let's see some more archjazz mandos besides mine. Out of the closet sans scroll!! #

    Here's my latest. Cutaway with pickup, hand carved spruce top & flamed maple back & sides. Ebony tailpiece. Rather easy to play, sounds great.
