Sounds good. Hope to drop in some time on our way south. A good excuse to avoid I-5.

I'm guessing it's a pretty eclectic jam musically?

though some sandbagging by the tavern staff , that night, may have us moving..
    day or locale..
perhaps: Winning on the Vid-Poker machines pay fatter tips,

(people play those even while the jam goes around the table)
maybe the setlist is not fresh, anymore,
as the few people don't know as many songs as those internet jukeboxes.

Reminds me a little of a Brazilian café here that used to have a weekly choro jam. Once the customers started coming in, we were told if we wanted to play we needed to bring our own chairs.

Or the bluegrass restaurant gig I do sometimes, where the owner seems to think the real draw is the three TV screens playing sports events throughout the gig. Maybe he's right.

We decided to shift night to Wednesday, and location to the Astoria Moose Lodge..
17th st, just up the street/hill, from the Maritime Museum..

Perhaps, the way we, as Players, learn to play better, by repetition,
may be less entertaining to a regular "Crowd".

Is that at The Bridge of the Gods? Beautiful country there.

I was actually in the Portland Airport the other day and saw a great display of local Oregon luthiers work in shadow boxes in terminal A for Alaska Airlines. They had a bunch of beautiful instruments including some banjos, (I believe) two octaves, a mandolin and a bunch of guitars.
Objects in mirror are closer then they appear.

At the time there was the 'bridge to nowhere' label, thrown about,
but it does connect US 101, on down the Pacific Coast..

up till the 60's the connection was a Ferryboat, still is a smaller ferry, up river, from Cathlamet WA to Westport OR.

Update, Wednesday nights at the Moose Lodge went well,

    One advance,

Didn't have to wait till the money in the jukebox played out, to begin..

BTW 'bridge-of-the-gods' is a long ways inland, up stream of even the Bonneville Dam.
