Thread: Instrument Case holder

    Default Instrument Case holder

Hey, looking for examples of instrument case holders that ya'll have made in the past (im looking at building a stand that would hold the cases for a guitar, 2 mandos, 2 ukuleles and a violin)...Photos, and or specs would be greatly appreciated..Im not the most handy in the world with wood, but i've got a power saw and a Lowes just down the street (and the wife's approval)...It doesnt have to be too complex, but it will be in my living room since that is where i currently store the instruments.

This is what I did once, and it still holds five cases.

Funny...every instrument/case in the pictures now live with new owners. Lots of MAS in only five years!

Good idea larry. Thanks for the link.. I hadn't thought of that. I wish I would have thought of posting this sooner as I hit 3 different thrift stores in Utah over the weekend. Anyone else, keep em coming.

Yes, MAS is alive and well. I say it need it to hold 6 instruments, but that number could easily change in a week (up or down. Most likely up)...

The recent thrad linked just above by Patrick, with LOTS of examples, got me thinking that a rack is long overdue. But Larrry's excellent example does illustrate a constraint that might not be obvious ...

... being that guitars are quite a bit larger than mandos, ukes, & violins. In my mind, there's much to be said for racking smaller and larger instruments separately. Surely the OP can find a corner or bit of closet space to hold just that solitary guitar separate from the racked smaller instruments?
